When I was small

I'd put my arms in my
jacket and told people lost my arms

Would restart the video
game whenever I knew I was going to lose

Had that one pen with
four colors, and tried to push all the buttons at once

Waited behind a door to
scare someone, then leaving because they're taking too long to come out.

Faked being asleep, so I could be carried to bed.

Used to think that the moon followed our car

Tried to balance the switch between On/Off

Watching two drops of
rain roll down window and pretending it was a race

The only thing I had to
take care of was a school bag.

Swallowed a fruit seed I
was scared to death that a tree was going to grow in my tummy.

Closed the fridge
extremely slowly to see when the lights went off.

Walked into a room, forgot what I needed, Walked out, and then remember.

Remember when we were kids and couldn't wait to grow up and now we think why did we even grow up?

Miss those wonderful, innocent days of my life….

Forgiveness!

..some fun, when you risk..
..some joy, when you understand..
..some connect, when you fall..
..some excitement, when you explore..
..some life, when you remember..
..some imagination, when you dream..
..some hope, when you loose..
...some pleasure, when you fly..
...some tears, when you laugh..
..some peace, when you forgive!
*Today was one such day where I was asked for forgiveness like never before...

Stepping out of the Comfort Zone

Last Friday when I stepped out of my comfort zone, is when I truly feel like I am alive. ;)
Writing is an art. Storytelling is an art. I love to do both…As I was challenged to step out of my comfort zone and share my Friday evening night out story… so here you go….

“We friends headed to Xtreme Sports Bar after office to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The club was screening ICC Champions match live and I was badly missing the music. Later we figured out that it’s a karaoke night and I for fun said I will sing.

Our groups “Kabira” got so excited that he went up to the DJ to submit my entry. Karaoke started and the first 2 performance were classy. After which I was so scared, that from with-in I decided not to make fool of myself & asked friends to withdraw my name. Just the next min my name was announced & I was hiding my face. All my friends badly wanted me to get on the floor and do something adventurous! Guess what … I did it.

My friends joined me on the stage, stood beside me & cheered me. I finally sang my favorite song “I just need you now”. I don’t remember the people who were taking my pictures, guys who were capturing my performance in the video, friends dancing around & enjoying themselves… all that I was conscious was about the lyrics & how my voice sounded. At the end I had that huge smile on my face, hear loud applause & see the happiness on my friend’s faces who felt so proud of me. “
That night will always be memorable for the experience & believe that you can enrich your life after stepping out of the comfort zone. With this I could say that tackling a new skill or taking an adventure that scares you a little helps you grow and makes you happier. Most of us have a desire to be comfortable and play it safe. Trying something new can seem scary and not worth the effort. Believe me you witness miracles when we step out of  your comfort zone.
When you step out of comfort zone to follow your dream, there will be mighty storms. But in time, they will subside. And it is then you will appreciate why they came in the first place -- they came to change your direction and move you closer to your goal.

Think back to the most meaningful, amazing moments of your life. When you examine them you will find that they had you stepping out of your comfort zone. Trying something new and unfamiliar brings extra excitement and emotion to life events.
Often, the things that are scariest bring the greatest rewards.
When you step outside your comfort zone, you give yourself a chance to grow, to learn, and to have fun. You get to see what it is like to be one of those carefree individuals who act first and ask questions later.

So, why not have fun for once in your life (and maybe continue doing so) by going out and attempting a crazy and adventurous activity. Step out of your comfort zone and you'll realize how many possibilities really are out there! Even if you fail it will make you stronger, and you will learn from that failure!

Acknowledge

U may not understand
U may fail to express
U may never believe
U may not reciprocate

But never fail to acknowledge someone’s feelings

A feeling is always true & pure as it could be, so respect it.
Don’t let time teach you this… it would leave you with lots of guilt, pain, regret & tears.
Life may not give you another chance.

Knowing you has been my sweet escape

It was destiny that we had to meet
We were preparing for a journey
Time just passed by when we spoke
Dreams started building up
Future looked amazing & safe in your arms
The best thing ever that could happen to me
Fought with my fears with you
Rediscovered myself with you
Smiled truly with you
Felt you, fear of losing myself held me back
Why did I held back myself
Why did I
Couldn’t acknowledge those feelings
Know that I feel
It’s a bless that I feel all the emotions that exist on here
And I know
I was born to love you
With every single beat of my heart
I will, I do

A Letter... reliving memories :)

Few lines from the sweetest letter that I received from a dearest friend :)

Stay notorious as you were ....

waiting to get mad and laugh for hours together

far from all wicked thought’s in our own world

so holy and child like

Cherishing all those days in our life

Goose bumps remembering those incidents of our life’s

having brightest mischievous smile after playing all those pranks

Repented after doing all, but no more as these are the memories which I relive

I love u deeply and solely ..and believe me when I breadth last the wish I would have is to see you besides me and die laughing so that even god increases the time for me to complete my laugh.

Finding its way...

No cry’s and no tears

suffering the depths of pain & guilt

as the journey ends and another cannot begin

soul torn apart

voluntarily picking up memories

trying to hold something in palm & every time it’s gone

perhaps it is just not meant to be here.

In darkness the fear & pains remains,

to be healed only by a love that could cross oceans

with no stars to guide,

believing the power of its existence

love will find its way

just to reach the hidden door of the heart

What was it in going blind ?

First sight it was

felt different

safe and just so perfect.

knew it was all a planned game

closer as it could get

happier than ever

walking on a path with no sure destination

enjoying all that was coming

it was not the matter of anything less than a heart

touching & feeling it, realized its pureness

fine with all that was coming

fights, irritation, jealously, smiles, tears, completeness

and lots something which is still nameless

hard was it to accept all that was felt

so closed eyes tight to go blind

yes, self-cheated, but still happy

lied & pretended to what it was not

proved all wrong

running away and blaming all was the only safe option

far far away still not from those memories

please set me free, forgive me, unlearn me

move on…

set me free...

A letter to my best friend

You and me. We wanted to live our lives in a tree. We played ‘aiming the ball inside the basket, hiding ourselves from professors while bunking classes, joined swimming classes just to enjoy the open shower (with our swimsuits on!). We walked every evening discussing what we’ll be, where we’ll be and who we’ll be with. We loved udhari ka vada pav with ketchup & green chillies. We named the trees. We scribbled Arabic bad words on the walls of our college. We love Bishop’s & singing at sunday mass. We love Pune. We lived together for 5 days in the mountains. I enjoyed getting wet in the rain and you hated to see me sneezing. You loved wine & I loved its color. You were my bodyguard & I was your lucky charm saving from dad & mom's scolding. We ate Bournvita powder late in the night. We loved Titanic and sang “Every night in my dreams....” during pyjama parties. I was like of your first love and you let it go. You supported my act of pretending to be a conceiving lady to run away from the cops. You desired to have a daughter like me & I wished a boy who would pamper me more than you. We rocked the dance floor and slapped may boys. We enjoyed spending our weekends with those cute looking orphan kids. Daydreaming of how we would seduce our love by wearing orange bikini saree while walking on the beach. My test car drive & you sitting next to me saying your final thanks giving to Lord. Pulling Bahadur uncles mustache, plucking roses from your neighbors garden & screaming out our favorite DJ’s name at the DJ war….gosh we have done it all. I have lived many lives in this time and enjoyed all that I never dreamt.

Yes, even if you are away from me…. you are in my every smile as I enjoy the rain
… you are in my every tear when I miss you in the dance floor
… no more credit cards can buy me the taste of our udhari ka vada pav

I hate new people loving you. You love new people loving me.
Jaannn Thank you for these memories.

How it all changed…

Here I am thinking hard about life...
Asking myself questions of which I know I will never find an answer.

How it changed from a maverick college life to strict professional life ?

How pocket money changed to huge monthly paychecks
but then why it gives less happiness ?

How a few local denim jeans changed to branded wardrobe
but then why there is less fun in carrying them ?

How a single plate of Vada-Pav changed to a full Pizza
but then why there is less hunger ?

Here I am thinking hard about life...
Asking myself questions of which I know I will never find an answer.
How it all changed...

How a bike always in reserve changed to a car always on
but then why there are less places to go on ?

How a small coffee shop changed to cafe coffee day
but then why its feels like shop is far away ?

How a limited prepaid card changed to postpaid package
but then why there are less calls & more messages ?

Here I am thinking hard about life...
Asking myself questions of which I know I will never find an answer.
How it all changed...

How a general class journey changed to a luxury journey
but then why there are no vacations for enjoyment..

How an old assembled desktop changed to new branded laptop
but then why there is less time to teach my mom new games ?

How a big gang of friends changed to office mate
but then why do I feel lonely n find no reasons to laugh ?

Here I am thinking hard about life
How it all changed ?
How it all changed ?
